It all started with a helpline!
We began our services for diverse communities as early as 1993 when FirstBank Officer Ken Chee set up a helpline in the Wheat Ridge branch conference room to assist Mandarin and Cantonese speaking residents. This helpline became successful and was our initial roots to our multicultural banking initiatives.

Multicultural Banking Center opens its doors in 2020.
In early 2020, FirstBank launched its Multicultural Banking Center, located in Lakewood, CO, which main focus is to extend financial services to the Hispanic, Asian, and Black and African American communities. The Center serves as a hub for all branch locations and joins the bank's growing list of Asian and Spanish Banking Centers and Black and African American Focus Banking Centers.

In an effort to better serve our communities, our focus is to expand our relationships within the Hispanic, Asian, and Black and African American communities. We have found we are most successful when providing banking services in our customers' preferred language, with an understanding of their cultural background.

The Multicultural Banking Center brings efforts to business development, community outreach, company strategy and support for our various branches. It also creates opportunities for various businesses, nonprofits, and community members to attend networking events, financial literacy classes, collaborate on community projects, and more.
